Agathemerus

Agathemerus was a Greek geographer known for a short surviving compendium, the "Sketch of Geography" (Geographias hypotyposis), which outlines the known world, its seas, winds, and dimensions, drawing on earlier authorities. His exact date is uncertain; he is generally assigned to the Roman imperial period, though scholars differ on precisely when he lived. His work is valuable mainly as a concise digest preserving fragments and measurements from older geographical writers whose original texts are now lost.
