Hor-Aha

Hor-Aha

3080 BCE3050 BCE · Early-Dynastic

Hor-Aha was an early king of Dynasty 1, conventionally placed around 3100-3050 BCE and attested at the royal cemeteries of Abydos and at Saqqara. He is one of the candidates, alongside Narmer, for the figure later tradition calls 'Menes', and his reign falls at the very start of the continuously documented royal record. The identification with Menes is one of the open questions and is not resolved.
