Mentuhotep III (throne-name Sankhkare) was the son of the reunifier, ruling Dynasty 11 around 2004-1992 BCE. His reign continued the consolidation of the early Middle Kingdom and is notable for a famous trading expedition to the land of Punt, recorded in the inscription of his official Henenu at Wadi Hammamat.
