Scorpion (King Scorpion II)

A late Predynastic ruler of Dynasty 0 known almost entirely from the Scorpion Macehead found at Hierakonpolis, together with a handful of other objects. He is conventionally placed around 3150 BCE, in the obscure generations just before the unification. His existence is attested, but his reign, the full reading of his name, and his relationship to Narmer cannot be securely reconstructed; he is a name and an image on a ceremonial object rather than a documented reign.
