Shepseskaf
Shepseskaf
2503 BCE–2498 BCE · Old-Kingdom
Shepseskaf was the last king of Dynasty 4. Breaking with the pyramid form, he built a great mastaba-shaped tomb at South Saqqara, known as the Mastabat al-Fara'un. The dynastic transition to Dynasty 5 follows his reign; a possible ephemeral successor is list-only and folded into that transition.
