K'inich K'uk' Bahlam II

? · Palenque

K'inich K'uk' Bahlam II was among the last securely documented kings of Palenque, taking the throne in 764 as the great city was entering its final decline. His reign is recorded on the Tablet of the 96 Glyphs, a masterpiece of Maya calligraphy that lists the accessions of several late Palenque rulers. After his time the dynasty and its monumental record fade from history.
