Minchançaman

? · Chan Chan

Minchançaman was the last king of the Kingdom of Chimor, the Chimú state whose capital was the great adobe city of Chan Chan on Peru's northern coast. Under his rule Chimor was the largest and wealthiest coastal kingdom of the Andes, its influence stretching along much of the Pacific littoral. Around 1470 he was defeated by the forces of the Inca Túpac Inca Yupanqui, and he was taken to Cusco. His defeat absorbed Chimor into Tawantinsuyu, removing the last major rival to Inca expansion.
