Ajmer
Ajmer, in Rajasthan, northwestern India, is the site of the shrine (dargah) of Mu'in al-Din Chishti (d. 1236), the Persian-born Sufi who settled there and founded the Chishti order in South Asia; his tomb is one of the most important Sufi pilgrimage centres in the subcontinent.
