Bilgram

Bilgram, a town in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, northern India, was a noted centre of Arabic and Persian scholarship in the Mughal period, home to a line of sayyid scholars. The lexicographer al-Murtada al-Zabidi (d. 1791), author of Taj al-Arus, was born in Bilgram before emigrating to the Hejaz and then Egypt.
