Corbeil, a town near Paris in northern France (today Corbeil-Essonnes), was a center of Tosafist scholarship in the thirteenth century. It was associated with Rabbi Peretz ben Elijah of Corbeil (Rabbeinu Peretz), a leading Tosafist who wrote glosses and additions on earlier rabbinic works, including the Semak of Isaac of Corbeil.
