Eskisehir

Eskisehir, in northwestern-central Anatolia (modern Turkey), is a city of the region. The reformer Said Nursi (d. 1960) was held in Eskisehir prison in 1935 during the trials and internal exile imposed on him under the early Turkish Republic, one of several Anatolian towns connected to his years of persecution.
