Normandy — Tosafist town

Évreux was the seat of the three Evreux brothers — R. Moshe, R. Shmuel, and R. Yitzchak of Évreux — Tosafists whose ethical-pietistic teachings were preserved in 'Shitah Mekubetzet' and 'Sefer HaMussar'. Their tradition shaped Sephardic Talmudic methodology after their writings reached Provence and Spain.
