Gwalior

Gwalior, in Madhya Pradesh, central India, is an old fortress-city. Its great hill-fort served as a Mughal state prison; the Naqshbandi reformer Ahmad Sirhindi (d. 1624) was imprisoned in Gwalior fort for about a year by the emperor Jahangir, an episode that became important in the later memory of his movement.
