Idhaj

Idhaj (medieval Idhaj/Mal-Amir), in the mountainous part of the Khuzestan region of southwestern Iran, was the chief town of the Great Lur (Bakhtiari) district on the road between Isfahan and Khuzestan. The Hanafi jurist-exegete Abu al-Barakat (Hafiz al-Din) al-Nasafi (d. 1310) died at Idhaj while returning from a journey to Baghdad.
