Yemen (Ta'izz)

Shabaz (Shabbez), a small town near Ta'izz in Yemen, gave its name to Rabbi Shalom Shabazi, the great Yemenite Jewish poet, who lived there after his father's death before settling in nearby Ta'izz. His surname al-Shabazi derives from the town.
