Amyrtaeus (Egyptian Amenirdis) was the sole king of Dynasty 28, a ruler of Saite descent who led the revolt that won Egypt's independence from Persia and reigned briefly over a reunited country before being supplanted by the line of Dynasty 29. He is the single king of the one-king dynasty between the two Persian periods.
