Daily Birkat Kohanim (Sephardi Practice)

In Sephardic communities, kohanim bless the congregation every single day—not only on festivals as in Ashkenazi practice.

The Sephardi (and Eretz Yisrael Ashkenazi) practice of having Kohanim deliver Birkat Kohanim daily, in contrast to Ashkenazi diaspora practice of only on Yom Tov. Beit Yosef on Tur O.C. 128; codified S.A. O.C. 128:44; the daily practice was retained throughout the Sephardi diaspora and adopted in Eretz Yisrael by Ashkenazim. Modern Israeli Ashkenazi practice continues daily Birkat Kohanim.
