Teos (Djedhor)

Teos (Djedhor)

362 BCE360 BCE · Late-Period

Teos (Egyptian Djedhor; 'Tachos' in Greek) was the second king of Dynasty 30, who mounted a campaign into Persian-held Syria with Greek assistance, including the Spartan king Agesilaus. He was overthrown by a palace revolt that placed his nephew Nectanebo II on the throne. The Agesilaus alliance is a notable episode of Greek contact.
