Chitas (Chabad Daily Study Cycle)

The Chabad practice of studying a fixed daily portion of Chumash, Psalms, and Tanya—linking thousands of Jews to a shared study cycle.

The Chabad-specific daily study cycle covering Chumash (with Rashi), Tehillim, and Tanya — the three components yielding the acronym Cha-Ta-T. Instituted by the Rebbe Rayatz (R. Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn) in 1942. Universal in Chabad-Lubavitch practice; expanded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to include Rambam Yomi (1984).
