Artemidorus of Daldis was a Greek author of the 2nd century CE, often connected with Ephesus, who specialized in the interpretation of dreams. His surviving work, the 'Oneirocritica,' is the most complete ancient treatise on dream interpretation and a rich source for the everyday beliefs and social life of the Roman imperial world. He claimed to have gathered his material through wide travel and reading.
