New Heavens and New Earth
Not the world abolished but the world made new, with God dwelling among his people
Christians look beyond the present age to a final renewal of all creation, the "new heavens and new earth" promised in Isaiah, 2 Peter, and Revelation 21. There God himself is said to dwell fully with the redeemed, wiping away every tear. Whether this means the cosmos transformed or replaced is read variously, but the shared hope is restored creation and unbroken communion with God.
