Viduy Ma'aser (Tithe Declaration)
The declaration recited in years 4 and 7 confirming all tithes have been properly given (Devarim 26:13-15).
After the agricultural tithing cycle, the Torah (Deuteronomy 26) has the farmer recite a declaration before God affirming that all the required gifts and tithes have been properly given to the priest, Levite, stranger, orphan, and widow. This "tithe confession" turned the careful work of sharing one's harvest into a moment of accountability and prayer for blessing.
