Lajin

Al-Mansur Lajin (died 1299) was a Mamluk sultan of Egypt who took power in 1296 after the removal of Kitbugha. His short reign was occupied with internal rivalries among the Mamluk commanders and attempts to reform the distribution of military land grants. These measures and factional tensions provoked opposition. He was assassinated in a palace conspiracy in early 1299.
