Al-Nasir Muhammad

Al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun (1285-1341) was a Mamluk sultan of Egypt who held the throne in three separate periods between 1293 and his death in 1341. His first two reigns were cut short by powerful commanders who controlled the government, but from 1310 he ruled in his own right for three decades. This long third reign is generally regarded as the height of Qalawunid power and a period of extensive building and economic activity. Repeated succession struggles followed his death in 1341.
