Sayri Túpac
?–1561 CE · Vilcabamba (Espiritu Pampa)
Sayri Túpac (died 1561) was a Sapa Inca of the Neo-Inca State at Vilcabamba, succeeding his father Manco Inca while still young. After years of standoff with the Spanish, he entered into negotiations and in 1558 left Vilcabamba, accepting Spanish terms in exchange for an estate and titles. He settled near Cusco and lived under colonial rule until his death in 1561. His departure left the leadership of the resistance state to his kinsmen.
