Benjamin Harrison

Benjamin Harrison was the 23rd President, serving from 1889 to 1893 as a Republican, and the grandson of President William Henry Harrison. A former U.S. senator from Indiana, he signed the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890, the first federal law against monopolies. Six new states entered the Union during his term.
