Al-Adil Kitbugha

Al-Adil Kitbugha (died c. 1303) was a Mamluk sultan of Egypt who reigned from 1294 to 1296. Of Mongol origin, he had been taken captive and entered Mamluk service before rising to the sultanate during a minority of one of the Qalawunid heirs. His reign was marked by factional conflict and famine, and he was compelled to give up the throne in 1296. He later served as a provincial governor in Syria until his death.
