Lord Four Wind 'Fire Serpent'

Lord Four Wind 'Fire Serpent'

1092 CE · Teozacoalco

Lord Four Wind 'Fire Serpent' was a Mixtec noble and rival kinsman of Eight Deer Jaguar Claw, whose family Eight Deer had destroyed. Surviving that purge, he ultimately captured and sacrificed Eight Deer in 1115, avenging his relatives. He then founded a long-lived ruling line at Teozacoalco (Chiyo Cahnu), whose genealogy the Mixtec codices trace across many later generations.
