Mubarak Shah was the second ruler of the Sayyid dynasty of Delhi and a son of Khizr Khan. He worked to suppress rebellions and defend the shrunken sultanate against regional challengers in the Punjab and the Gangetic plain. He was assassinated in 1434 by conspirators within his own court.
