Bahlul Lodi
?–1489 CE · Delhi
Bahlul Lodi was an Afghan chief who founded the Lodi dynasty, the last dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, taking the throne in 1451. He restored some of the sultanate's strength, expanding its territory and notably annexing the rival Sharqi Sultanate of Jaunpur. He ruled for nearly four decades and died in 1489.
