Lama Surya Das (b. Jeffrey Miller, 1950) is an American teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist Nyingma/Dzogchen tradition. After traveling to Asia in the early 1970s and completing traditional Tibetan retreats, he became a dharma heir of the Nyingma master Nyoshul Khenpo and in 1991 founded the Dzogchen Center near Boston. He is known as an author and popularizer of Tibetan Buddhism for Western lay practitioners, including the 'Awakening' book series. He continues to teach.
