John Adams

John Adams was the 2nd President, serving from 1797 to 1801 as a Federalist. A leading Founding Father and diplomat of the Revolution, he had helped draft the Declaration of Independence and served as the first Vice President under Washington. His term saw the Quasi-War with France and the passage of the Alien and Sedition Acts.
